End Transaction and Messaging project is part of Mainframe Offload program, the ongoing effort to move Sabre's application infrastructure from the current Mainframe system to cloud-based GCP solution.
1) End Transaction - Adapter:
The End Transaction service is used to complete and store changes made to a Passenger Name Record (PNR) in Sabre. The process to save a PNR is termed as End Transaction.
Adapter component consumes data from GCP Pub-Sub and convert data to specified model after applying business logic and save it into GCP Spanner Table. Adapter needs to preserve the order as received.
2) Messaging – Reject:
Rejected messages pulled from Pub-Sub reject topic in json format and after processing, each message pushed into another pub-sub topic in same sequencing order
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implementing solutions with new technologies like GCP Pub Sub, Spanner, Spring Boot, Java 8 using Microservices architecture.
Perform coding and unit testing of application code as well as execution of implementation activities.
Interact with tech lead to understand technology direction/changes and standards.
